Why is Srisailam Famous?

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is more than just a huge temple, hidden deep in Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the most sacred pilgrimage places of the country, one from the twelve Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva, the Mallikarjuna Swamy temple. With the true lap of Nallamala Hills, splendid scenic beauty is added further by nature and wildlife sanctuaries. Word says that a little sprinkling of magic flourishes over this place, quite kickingly, too, making the devotees and tourists coming to visit feel its presence.
